Also known as Colgate Sports Newsreel with Bill Stern. One of radio's most entertaining programs that ever aired. Bill Stern told stories about the great and near-great. Some stories had to do with pure coincidences, and some that dealt with the simple twist of fate. First heard 12/05/37, the program was originally called Bill Stern Review until 1939. Heard over the Blue network as a sustaining program until Colgate began its sponsorship on 10/08/39. That sponsorship would continued until the last of the Colgate programs on 06/29/51. The name was change to Bill Stern Sports on 11/30/51 and was heard once a week until 09/26/52. From 04/20/53 until 08/14/53, the series was heard 5 times a week. Moving to the ABC network beginning on 09/14/53, the program picked up Budweiser as its sponsor until 12/10/54. Multi sponsorship became on 12/13/54 and continued until the last program was broadcast on 06/22/56.
